Ongoing Supervision

There are ongoing opportunities for group and individual supervision with Dr. Gary Quinn (02-563-3928) or with Dr. Dani Kahn (054-454-3475 or Dr.Dani.Kahn@EMDR-Israel.org) for those who have undergone EMDR training.

Trainings and Courses by The EMDR Institute of Israel

Basic EMDR training requires attending both Parts 1 and 2 as well as followup supervision sessions. Therefore, we encourage students to sign up for both parts of the training and offer a financial incentive toward that end.

Each course includes lectures, demonstrations, and videos. There is also a large interactive component where each clinician participates in a small supervised group in the roles of both therapist and client. Included in the cost is 5 hours of followup group consultation per course and a printed manuals.

LEVEL II EMDR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
An Advanced Training for EMDR Treatment with Children (Complex and Relationship Trauma)

Goals of Courses: The goal of this training is to enable EMDR Child Therapists to deepen and broaden their ability to treat children who have been exposed to complex trauma, neglect, abuse and problems of faulty attachment.
Our aim is to teach ways in which the more advanced EMDR techniques, in all 8 phases of the protocol, can be adapted to the developmental level of the child.

Participants will learn how, when possible, to integrate the parent into the treatment in order to strengthen the attachment bond and establish the parent as the source of safety in the therapy room. They will learn to help the child and parent gain the courage to access difficult material, work with preverbal trauma and use interweaves suited to the child when processing is stymied.

Dates: 10-11 September, 2017
Location: Neve Family Institute. Jerusalem
Trainers: Esther Bar-Sadeh & Barbara Wizansky
Prerequisites: This training is aimed at therapists who have completed both levels 1 and 2 of the Generic (Adult) EMDR Training as well as the Level 1 EMDR Child Training and who are interested in deepening their expertise in treating children with EMDR. It satisfies the requirements for entering the track for accreditation as an EMDR Child Therapist, established by EMDR Europe.
